Scott County Animal Shelter is a small rural facility in the southwest of Virginia. While Scott County Animal Shelter is not yet a no-kill facility, this is a goal we strive to achieve each and every day. We are also fortunate enough to work with some amazing rescue groups and dedicated individuals who help us move animals to safety each and every week. News of Scott County Animal Shelter

The Scott County Animal Shelter Float was a big hit at the Gate City Christmas parade. We hope y'all were able to see a couple of our adoptable dogs in person riding the float. We were also able to hand out 350 stuffed animals to the kids in attendance. A very special THANK YOU to Kimberly Osborne Francis, Teri Hall, Jerry and Angie, Jake Dougherty ACO, Kristi Begley, and everyone else who had a hand in putting this float together.
